49ers-Cardinals pregame notes
The Arizona Cardinals will be without two key starters from the defensive side of the ball for this evening’s game against the visiting San Francisco 49ers.
Third-year DE Calais Campbell (ankle-questionable), who didn’t practice leading up to the game, and second-year CB Greg Toler (foot-questionable), are Arizona’s most important eight inactives for Monday night’s divisional clash.
Backup CB Mike Adams (ribs-probable) will start for Toler and backup DL Alan Branch will start for Campbell.
Starters WR Steve Breaston (knee-questionable) and OLB Clark Haggans (groin-questionable) are active.
The Cardinals will dress just four cornerbacks for the game.
The 49ers will be without K Joe Nedney (right knee-doubtful), nickel CB Will James (concussion-doubtful) and OLT Joe Staley (broken leg-out).
Veteran OT Barry Sims is expected to make his second straight start in place of the injured Staley. K Shane Andrus will fill in for the second straight game for Nedney.
