The San Diego Chargers signed veteran SS Bob Sanders to a one-year deal last Thursday. In fact, the team announced the deal. However, the San Diego Union-Tribune reported the contract isn’t finalized due to an unspecified difference in interpretation between the league and the Chargers regarding what is allowed. The interpretation issue the league raised has nothing to do with the end of the league year or CBA negotiations, according to the report.
“Sanders signing not official yet, but hopefully soon. Stay tuned,” Chargers director of public relations Bill Johnston said via his Twitter account.
