The Baltimore Ravens have scheduled a press conference for Thursday where it’s expected that longtime kicker Matt Stover will retire as a Raven.
Stover, 43, played in the NFL for 19 seasons. He spent 13 with the Ravens, five with the old Cleveland Browns who became the Ravens in 1996, and one with the Indianapolis Colts (2009).
Stover, who was selected in the 12th round by the Browns in the 1990 NFL draft, finished his career going 471 of 563 (83.7 percent) on field goal attempts.
Stover finished his career as one of the most accurate kickers in NFL history and finished in the top 10 in most kicking categories.
