Packers' Walden questionable for Super Bowl
Green Bay Packers OLB Erik Walden (ankle-questionable) was limited in practice for the third straight day on Friday. If he’s unable to play, rookie OLB Frank Zombo (knee-probable) would start for the ninth time this season.
“We’ll take Erik up the game and see what happens,” Packers head coach Mike McCarthy said after Friday’s practice. “I have a good feel for what he can and cannot do. Sunday I’m going to trust him and the medical staff to make that call.”
Starting WR Donald Driver (quadriceps-probable) was not expected to practice Friday, but was listed as being limited. Driver participated in the pre-practice walk-through and in a small role on special teams on Friday. He’s expected to be in the lineup against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday for Super Bowl XLV.
Walden is the only player on Green Bay’s 53-man roster who is in danger of missing the game.
