Patriots' Brady wins AP award
New England Patriots QB Tom Brady won the Associated Press player of the year award.
Brady received 21 of the 50 votes. Philadelphia Eagles QB Michael Vick got 11.
Houston Texans RB Arian Foster finished third in voting, San Diego Chargers QB Philip Rivers finished fourth, Atlanta Falcons WR Roddy White finished fifth and Philadelphia Eagles WR/PR DeSean Jackson finished sixth.
It was widely believed that Brady would win the award, but Vick's second-place finish is amazing considering he was away from the game for three seasons until he returned as a backup during the 2009 season.
