Pregame notes for Week 14
- Carolina Panthers: The Panthers will be without three starters today against the visiting Atlanta Falcons.
CB Chris Gamble (hamstring), G Travelle Wharton (toe) and WLB Jason Williams (knee) are listed as three of the team’s eight inactives.
The Falcons will be without RB/FB Jason Snelling (hamstring).
- Cincinnati Bengals: The Bengals will not have starting CB Johnathan Joseph (ankle) for today’s game against the host Pittsburgh Steelers. CB Jonathan Wade will start his third game for the Bengals this season since signing with the team on Nov. 22.
The Steelers will not have TE Heath Miller (concussion) and DE Aaron Smith. No. 2 TE Matt Spaeth, who missed the previous two games due to a concussion, will start for Miller. Second-year DE Ziggy Hood starts for Smith.
- Jacksonville Jaguars: The Jaguars will get back starting WR Mike Sims-Walker (ankle) today against the visiting Oakland Raiders after a one-game absence. However, they will be without starting SS Courtney Greene (shoulder). Veteran SS Sean Considine fills in for him.
The Raiders will be without starting MLB Rolando McClain for the first time this season. The first-round pick did not practice this week. Backup LB Ricky Brown will start for him.
- Tampa Bay Buccaneers: The Buccaneers will have two key starters, DE Tim Crowder (shoulder-questionable) and SLB Quincy Black (ankle-questionable), for today’s game against the host Washington Redskins.
But they will be missing starting CB Aqib Talib (hip), who was placed on IR this week.
SS LaRon Landry (Achilles) and CB Carlos Rogers (hamstring) will not play for the Redskins. That’s good news for Tampa Bay rookie WR Mike Williams (knee-probable).
RB Ryan Torain (hamstring-questionable) is active. He missed the previous four games after reinjuring his hamstring during pregame warm-ups for the Nov. 15 against the visiting Philadelphia Eagles.
