Redskins work out veteran wide receiver; Haynesworth shows up
The Washington Redskins are one of 20 teams not to make it to the playoffs, so they have started evaluating players for next season.
The team worked out two players late last week, a source confirmed.
One of them was WR Sinorice Moss, the younger brother of Redskins WR Santana Moss.
Sinorice Moss was selected in the second round of the 2006 NFL Draft by the New York Giants, who waived him from injured reserve on Nov. 9.
Arena League S Chris Royal also worked out for the Redskins.
In other team news, DT Albert Haynesworth’s four-game suspension ended on Monday. He showed up for his exit physical on the same day.
In addition, the team re-signed six practice squad players to future contracts.
RB Shawnbrey McNeal; WRs Taurus Johnson and Maurice Price; OTs Selvish Capers and Xavier Fulton; and DT Rashaad Duncan all signed.
