Report: Eagles' Jordan arrested for misdemeanor assault
Philadelphia Eagles LB Akeem Jordan was charged with misdemeanor assault and battery stemming from an incident from last weekend in Harrisonburg, Va., according to the Harrisonburg Daily News-Record. Jordan was released on his own recognizance earlier on Monday.
Jordan, who’s unsigned, was arrested early Sunday, according to the report.
Jordan, who was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Eagles in 2007, was not tendered as a restricted free agent by the team. He started 20 games in his four years with the Eagles.
Jordan earned $1.684 million in base salary last season. He only participated in 195 out of a possible 1050 plays on defense last season, but participated in about 60 percent of the special teams plays.
