Report: Sanders to visit the Jaguars
Former Indianapolis Colts SS Bob Sanders is scheduled to visit the Jacksonville Jaguars, NFL.com reported.
Because he's a vested veteran, Sanders did not have to pass through waivers, so he's free to sign with any team at least until the end of NFL business on March 3.
Sanders, who has played in nine regular season games over the past three seasons, was signed through the 2012 season. He carried a base salary of $5.5 million for 2011 and $7 million for 2012. He also had $500,000 in workout bonuses in each of those two seasons. He missed all but one game last season due to a biceps injury.
Courtney Greene, who started 11 games for the Jaguars last season, is the currently the projected starter at strong safety.
