Saints sign one player, work one out
The New Orleans Saints had their season ended last week at Seattle, so they’re beginning to adjust their roster for 2011.
As noted previously, the Saints signed eight players to future contracts. They signed another one, WR Montez Billings, to a future contract. Billings spent the 2010 season with the practice squads of the Saints, Buffalo Bills and Houston Texans.
In addition, a source confirmed the team worked out DT Tom Johnson, who spent the past two seasons with the CFL’s Calgary Stampeders. Johnson also worked out for the Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings, Philadelphia Eagles, Pittsburgh Steelers, Seattle Seahawks and Washington Redskins during the season.
