Source: Eagles work out offensive lineman
With an eye on their roster for the 2011 season, the Philadelphia Eagles worked out free-agent G/OT Kyle Calloway this week, a source confirmed.
Calloway, who was selected in the seventh round of the 2010 NFL Draft (216th overall) by the Buffalo Bills, was waived by the Bills on Aug. 30, 2010. He did not latch on with another team after being released. However, Calloway did work out for the Houston Texans early during the regular season.
Calloway started 37 out of 39 games at the University of Iowa, including 26 at right offensive tackle and 11 on the left side. But some personnel evaluators thought he did not have good enough feet to play tackle at the NFL level.
