Source: Jaguars sign veteran defensive end
The Jacksonville Jaguars have signed veteran DE Paul Spicer, a source confirmed.
Spicer, who turns 36 in August, last played in the NFL in 2008 with the Jaguars. He signed a contract with the New Orleans Saints during the offseason of 2009, but was released prior to the start of the regular season.
Spicer, who was originally signed as an undrafted free agent by the Seattle Seahawks in 1998, could have signed a ceremonial one-day contract with the team if he’s choosing to retire. If that's not the case, he could figure in as a fourth defensive end with the team.
