The Detroit Lions have waived backup G Trevor Canfield, a source confirmed. The team did not announce the move, but the source confirmed it was made on Thursday.

The interior offensive lineman was claimed off waivers from the Seattle Seahawks on Apr. 19. Canfield (undisclosed injury) was placed on injured reserve on Aug. 26.

He was originally selected in the 2009 NFL Draft by the Arizona Cardinals.
