Former NFL wide receiver signs with CFL team
Former NFL WR Jerry Porter has signed with the Montreal Alouettes of the Canadian Football League.
Porter (6-foot-2, 220 pounds), who last played in the NFL with the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2008, was selected in the second round of the 2000 NFL Draft by the Oakland Raiders.
Porter, who turns 33 in July, signed a two-year deal.
In other CFL news, free agency starts for the 2011 league year on Wednesday.
Tuesday was the final day for CFL free agents to sign with NFL teams.
