Source: Ravens sign veteran wide receiver
The Baltimore Ravens have signed free-agent WR Brandon Jones. The team has not announced the move, but a source confirmed Jones signed his contract on Friday.
The veteran wideout was released by the Seattle Seahawks on the final roster cutdown last season on Sept. 4, and wound up not playing in 2010.
Jones (6-1, 215), who was originally selected in the third round of the 2005 NFL Draft by the Tennessee Titans, becomes the sixth wide receiver on Baltimore’s 80-man roster under contract for next season.
In addition, the Ravens re-signed S Marcus Paschal on Friday. Paschal (leg) was waived/injured injured prior to the start of the regular season. After going on injured reserve after passing through waivers, he was waived off IR on Sept. 6.
