The Houston Texans are scheduled to work out free-agent WR Dexter Jackson on Tuesday, a source said.

Jackson, who also recently worked out for the Cincinnati Bengals and Detroit Lions, was selected in the second round of the 2008 NFL Draft by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Jackson, who posted a 40-yard dash time in the 4.3's for the Bengals, is capable of returning punts and kicks.

Jackson was waived by the Carolina Panthers on Aug. 31.
