Vikings' Favre injured again
Minnesota Vikings starting QB Brett Favre landed hard on his left shoulder during a second-quarter sack against the visiting Chicago Bears on Monday evening.
On the play, Bears rookie DE Corey Wootton got off the edge and ran unimpeded to grab Favre and throw him to the ground.
Favre came into the game with chest, ankle, and right shoulder injuries. His return to the game was listed as doubtful because of a head injury.
Rookie QB/WR Joe Webb (hamstring-probable) replaced Favre. Veteran Patrick Ramsey is listed as the third quarterback.
Webb, who played quarterback at UAB, practiced exclusively at wide receiver during Senior Bowl week. He has been used as a receiver since the Vikings selected him in the sixth round of this year's NFL Draft.
