Jaylan Ford Knows It's A Better Oklahoma Team
USA TODAY Sports

Arguably the best rivalry in all of college football is set to take place this Saturday, and this rendition of the game may be the biggest one yet for a couple of reasons.

For starters, it is the last time the two will face off as members of the Big 12 in the regular season, but more importantly, it is the first time since 2011 that both of them are undefeated.

The Longhorns come in as the No. 3 team in the country, while Oklahoma ranks as the No. 12 team in the country.

When speaking to the media over the past couple of days, neither team has taken any bait on questions that may be directing them toward downplaying their opponents.

Something we saw with veteran linebacker Jaylan Ford on Monday, as he spoke about just how good this Oklahoma team is.

"For us looking at them, they're 5-0 just like we are," said Ford. "What they got going over there is a great program being run just like ours is. I think for both teams, you can tell that it's gonna be...it's a top-25 matchup so to go out there and say we expect to do what we did last year wouldn't be smart in our case."

Last season's matchup saw Texas embarrass Oklahoma, beating them 49-0 but this team will have star quarterback Dillon Gabriel and a much improved defense.

According to ESPN, the Longhorns are 6.5-point favorites but their Matchup Predictor gives Oklahoma a 54.5 percent chance of winning the game.

The Longhorns have beaten two top-25 teams thus far and are hoping to make it a third, while this is the first-ranked team that Oklahoma has played this season.
