Western Kentucky wide receiver Malachi Corley is one of the G5's most heralded prospects in the 2024 NFL Draft Class. For that reason, there were doubts as to whether or not he would suit up for the Hilltoppers in Monday's Famous Toastery Bowl in Charlotte. However, Corley has confirmed that he will play in the game.

"He made it pretty much known that he wanted to play as many games as he could play in and end his college career," WKU head coach Tyson Helton said during his media availability this week. "He's obviously our best football player and we need him. Like always, we'll try to get him the ball as much as we can."

"Specifically, my brother and my trainer don't want me to play in this game," Corley told the Bowling Green Daily News. "I feel like the scouts, the people that are in charge of the bowls, they also feel like I don't play in this game as well. They feel like I have nothing to prove. But for myself, I feel like I have everything to prove. That's the chip I carry myself every single day. I feel like I have everything to prove to everybody."
