Braves announce corresponding roster moves ahead of Friday night’s game

Yesterday, both Touki Toussaint and Dylan Lee were optioned back to Gwinnett, opening two roster spots.

The #Braves optioned RHP Touki Toussaint and LHP Dylan Lee to Triple-A Gwinnett following yesterday’s game.

Those roster spots have been filled before tonight’s game. Austin Riley was recalled from the paternity list, and the recently acquired Jesse Chavez was also added to the roster.

The #Braves today reinstated INF Austin Riley from the paternity list. Additionally, RHP Jesse Chavez reported to Atlanta and was added to the active roster.

These were the moves I was expecting, which means the Braves are rolling with one less pitcher on the roster. Travis Demeritte, who joined the team when Riley hit the paternity list, will stay up and give Brian Snitker some more options off the bench.
