Former Nationals outfielder Gerardo Parra gets 'Baby Shark' World Series tattoo
Geoff Burke-USA TODAY Sports

It took a bit of time, but Gerardo Parra has followed through and gotten his Baby Shark-inspired World Series tattoo.

Parra, the former Washington Nationals outfielder whose change in walk-up music to “Baby Shark” led to something of a craze, got a long-promised tattoo of the World Series trophy, with a sunglasses-wearing Baby Shark as the centerpiece.

Parra pledged he would do this prior to the World Series, and while it took him a while, he’s followed through on it. He hasn’t skimped on things, either — that is one elaborate tattoo, complete with the shark at the heart of it all.

Given how the crowd would react when it was played, can you blame him for wanting to memorialize it?

Parra signed with Japan’s Yomiuri Giants back in November. He’ll have to find a way to come back stateside for a visit to show off the new ink.
