J.J. Watt shares cool tweet with Shohei Ohtani
Los Angeles Angels designated hitter Shohei Ohtani. Rick Scuteri-USA TODAY Sports

For many years, J.J. Watt was at the top of his game. He was breaking records, winning awards and creating new expectations for those who came after him. He changed the game. And as his career winds down, he finds appreciation in others doing the same — others like Los Angeles Angels superstar Shohei Ohtani.

Ohtani, of course, is one of the most unique baseball players since Babe Ruth. He’s a dominant pitcher, a dominant hitter and a tremendous fielder.

Consider Watt a member of his fan club.

But Watt isn’t exactly new to Ohtani. He hopped on the bandwagon early and was thumping for the Angels star to win AL MVP just a year ago.

Ohtani did win the award and will look to keep adding to the trophy case. Watt fully intends to continue watching the show.
