We cashed a +390 ticket on Freddie Freeman to hit a home run Thursday, and we're back hunting for another winner on a beautiful Friday. Here are my three favorite HR props for Friday's MLB slate.
Great American Ballpark has been one of the friendliest parks for home runs all year, and we should be in store for at least a few dingers Friday with the total set at 10.5. Elly De La Cruz has been on a power surge lately with a team-leading four home runs over the last two weeks, while Washington Nationals starter Patrick Corbin has surrendered six homers over his last five starts.
Friday's matchup between the Philadelphia Phillies and Kansas City Royals looks like a gold mine for home run props. The wind will be blowing strongly out to center field, creating a projected 33 percent boost to homers, per Ballpark Pal. Alec Bohm is the hottest hitter in Philadelphia's lineup with his team-leading .367 batting average and 10 RBI over the last two weeks, and Royals starter Jordan Lyles has given up the 10th-most homers in MLB this season. I'll take a shot at the big price here.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it, right? Freeman has been absolutely on fire of late with 12 hits in his last 17 at-bats, and he went yard Thursday to cash a juicy HR prop for us. Now he gets to face San Diego Padres starter Yu Darvish, whom Freeman has had tremendous success against over the years. In 28 career ABs against Darvish, Freeman is hitting .321 with two doubles and three home runs. I have no clue why this price is cheaper than Thursday's, so we're jumping on again.
