Watch: Former Brewers IF homers in first AB with Dodgers
Los Angeles Dodgers second baseman Kolten Wong Gary A. Vasquez-USA TODAY Sports

Former Milwaukee Brewers second baseman Kolten Wong has played for three teams over the course of the last year. The Brewers traded him during the offseason to the Seattle Mariners, and they ended up designated him for assignment around the trade deadline.

He was picked up by the Los Angeles Dodgers on a minor league contract and recently was added to the big league roster. His first at-bat in blue ended up being a massive three-run home run.

In the eighth inning and the Dodgers getting shut out, Wong stepped up to bat against Pierce Johnson. Wong went down 0-2 in the count but then ended up hitting a booming home run into right field to cut the Braves' lead in half. (Watch at the 7:44 mark below.)

Atlanta won this game by a score of 6-3, but for Wong this is about as good of a start with a new team that anyone could ask for. With Seattle this year he had just two home runs across 67 games and had a 33 OPS+. If he can get some confidence back, he could be one veteran who helps the Dodgers as they continue toward and into the playoffs.
