The team shared a video of two-time AL MVP Shohei Ohtani working out at Dodgers Stadium via social media, giving baseball fans their first glimpse of Ohtani in Dodger blue.

The short clip mainly consists of shots of Ohtani doing some resistance band running and ends with him smiling wide, clearly enjoying the new environment.

After spending his first six seasons with the Angels, Ohtani agreed to a mammoth 10-year, $700 million contract with the Dodgers in December, with $680 million deferred until the end of the contract.

The two-way phenom won his second AL MVP Award in 2023. He led the American League with 44 home runs despite only playing in 135 games due to injury. Ohtani also went 10-5 as a starting pitcher with a 3.14 ERA and 167 strikeouts in 132 innings pitched.

He won't pitch in 2024 after having elbow surgery in September but is expected to return as a starter in 2025.

As excellent as Ohtani is, he's never played in the postseason since making his MLB debut in 2018. Meanwhile, the Dodgers have reached the playoffs every year since 2013 and have three consecutive 100-win seasons.

Per ESPN Bet, the Dodgers (+400) are the favorite to win the 2024 World Series.
