Belal Muhammad does not appreciate people claiming Leon Edwards was dominating their original fight.

Back at UFC Fight Night 187 in March 2021, "Remember the Name" and "Rocky" collided in the main event of the show. The fight was disappointingly cut short after an accidental eye poke from Edwards early in the second round left Muhammad unable to continue.

Now, Edwards is UFC welterweight champion and Muhammad is expected to serve as his next challenger. "Rocky" is coming off of unanimous decision win over Colby Covington at UFC 296. "Remember the Name," meanwhile, last beat Gilbert Burns via unanimous decision back at UFC 288.

'I Get Better As The Fight Goes On' - Muhammad Hits Back At Bisping's Take On Edwards Fight

During a recent appearance on the Overdogs Podcast, Muhammad discussed the original fight with Edwards, and the common argument that "Rocky" was dominating in it.

"They're gonna say, 'Oh man, he was killing you that first fight,' but he's literally the poster boy for why there's five rounds, right?" Muhammad said. "If that was the case, he was getting killed by Usman for four rounds and we didn't need the fifth round, but he won in the last 30 seconds of the fifth round. For myself, I get better as the fight goes on, we literally had one round."

Muhammad went on to suggest that the likes of Michael Bisping - who has often been supportive of Edwards - are responsible for this narrative. "Remember the Name" even went so far as to call Bisping "the most biased person in the world."

"People haven't even really seen the fight, for them to say, 'Oh man, you got killed,' because it's just like a narrative, right?" Muhammad said. "'Leon said he was gonna kill him anyway, so I believe Leon,' like Michael Bisping said that, but Michael Bisping is the most biased person in the world, right? Like, you can say whatever you want to say."
