Demetrious Johnson Lauds 'King Of Violence' Mike Perry, Reinforces Seriousness Of Eddie Alvarez's Injury: 'Your Eye Can Be Doing All Types Of S**t!'
Gary A. Vasquez-USA TODAY Sports

ONE Flyweight Champion Demetrious Johnson recently shared his thoughts on the recent BKFC 56 main event.

With the new, aptly-named King of Violence Championship up for grabs. BKFC poster boy Mike Perry and MMA lightweight legend Eddie Alvarez went to bloody war. After two rounds of face-busting brutality, "The Underground King" lost via corner stoppage due to severe facial injuries.

This is the second former UFC champion to fall to Perry this year, with ex-middleweight titleholder Luke Rockhold suffering a gnarly busted grill opposite "Platinum" back at BKFC 41.

'This Sport Was Made For Him' - Demetrious Johnson On Mike Perry

In a recent video uploaded to his YouTube channel, "Mighty Mouse" discussed the fight and was complementary of Perry, highlighting his toughness and even suggesting bare-knuckle fighting was tailor-made for him.

"Yes, Mike Perry is the king of violence, he was made- this sport was made for him," Johnson said. "He is so tough, he can- he's very durable."

Johnson went on to discuss the facial injury Alvarez sustained at the hands of "Platinum." Key to eye health and placement, a broken orbital bone can open up a whole can of worms when it comes to potential health issues.

"The orbital bone's a very, very serious injury because if this gets broken, this kind of holds your eye in socket. And if it breaks, your eye can be doing all types of s**t. Nothing but love for Eddie and his beautiful wife Jamie. Great fight. Great, entertaining fight... And this is what I thought it was going to come down to... Can Eddie's speed, combinations, technique be able to get- yeah it's his orbital, so it's a very serious injury, and it's smart to stop."

Now 4-0, Mike Perry's stock continues to rise as a key figure in the dangerous world of bare-knuckle combat.
