Former UFC Star Mike Perry Is Down To Train With (Or Fight) David Goggins
Jeff Swinger-USA TODAY Sports

Mike Perry saw the footage of Tony Ferguson training with David Goggins and is interested in training with (or fighting) the former US Navy SEAL and International Sports Hall of Famer himself.

'Platinum' is gearing up for his upcoming fight against Eddie Alvarez at next month's BKFC 56 event. He's been doing the media rounds this past week and took part in a press conference where he and Alvarez traded verbal jabs (and the odd punches to the body.)

The Alvarez fight wasn't the only topic of conversation that day, as Perry had some interesting remarks about Goggins, the former US Navy SEAL, who now works as a motivational speaker, author, podcaster and more.

Mike Perry Open to Fighting David Goggins

During a chat with MMA journalist Helen Yee, Perry was asked about Ferguson training with 'Coach Goggins' for his fight against Paddy Pimblett at UFC 296.

"Tony Ferguson has been training with David Goggins for his fight with Paddy Pimblett?! Tony might win!" Perry said.

When asked if he'd consider training with Goggins, Perry said he'd be down- but he's not interested in running. He's a born and bred fighter, and challengers Goggins to 'show him something.'

"Listen, listen, listen, I'm a very special and important person these days, I have a very busy schedule, my family always needs me, so time away from them is tough. But if things worked out, I'd be down to go and get some work in with David Goggins.

What would we start with, a three-mile run?! I don't like to run, I like to fight! Me and David Goggins can fight! Lets go David Goggins, show me something!"

BKFC 56: Perry vs. Alvarez takes place Saturday, December 2 for the custom "King of Violence" Championship:
