Former UFC Title Challenger Urijah Faber's MMA Return Announced For May 25
(Kyle Terada - USA TODAY Sports)

Former UFC title challenger and hall of famer Urijah Faber is set to make a return to MMA in the coming months.

After initially retiring in 2016, "The California Kid" made a UFC comeback in 2019 where he stopped Ricky Simón before going on to lose to Petr Yan at UFC 245.

Now, Faber is back once again and he's going to be stepping back inside the cage with his own promotion, Urijah Faber's A-1 Combat.

An Instagram video from the promotion's president, Tom Anderson, announced their next two upcoming shows and the return of a pioneer.

Following A-1 Combat 20 on May 17th, May 25th will feature their 21st event and will be hosted at the Visalia Convention Center in California.

Faber will compete in the main event though there is currently no opponent announced for his comeback fight.

Despite being away from the UFC over the past few years, the 44-year old has still been very much ingrained in combat sports.

He has competed in multiple grappling matches and tournaments whilst continuing to train other fighters out of his highly regarded gym, Team Alpha.

This comeback bout will mark his 47th pro fight having begun his career in California with a debut win back in 2003.

Tickets go on sale for both of the announced events this Friday with A-1 Combat airing live via UFC Fight Pass.
