Mike Perry's first bare-knuckle fight of his new Bare Knuckle FC deal has been booked against former UFC champion Eddie Alvarez.
Perry vs. Alvarez will headline Bare Knuckle FC 56 in Salt Lake City on December 2nd. BKFC head David Feldman announced the booking and the card during a recent appearance on The MMA Hour.
The card also features the BKFC return of former UFC standout Jimmie Rivera against Jeremy Stephens, and Ben Rothwell facing Todd Duffee in his latest BKFC test.
Perry returns to BKFC after serving as the backup boxer to the Logan Paul vs. Dillon Danis Misfits Boxing match last weekend. His services weren't needed as Paul went on to defeat Danis by disqualification.
After an up-and-down tenure in the UFC, Perry has surged as arguably the face of bare-knuckle boxing since his arrival. He most recently finished Luke Rockhold at BKFC 41 back in April.
Perry has also defeated former Bellator star Michael 'Venom' Page and Julian Lane during his promotional tenure.
Alvarez returns to the ring following a win over Chad Mendes at BKFC 41. He was making his bare-knuckle debut and is looking to make a statement despite being at the latter end of his combat career.
The full BKFC 56 card is expected to be finalized and announced in the coming weeks. The event takes place at the Maverik Center in Salt Lake City.
