Yukihito Taguchi-USA TODAY Sports

Thiago Silva’s broke the record as Chelsea’s oldest ever player on Saturday, and clearly the club had this nice website featured lined up to honour that.

Sadly the game didn’t go our way – in fact we were terrible. To make things worse, Silva himself made a crucial error which handed Newcastle the killer goal.

A £13m annual wage which sometimes looks cheap and sometimes expensive But they share a dressing room at Chelsea.

“I have a really good relationship with Reece James. He’s a really good captain and he has a big future because he’s a really good listener.

“It’s my job to be a bit of a sounding board now. It’s hard because sometimes the players are very different in age to myself. What we want to do is speed up the process of understanding and I think the players we have here are generally good at that.”

The two of them may only share a dressing room for a few months more, so we hope they both make the most of their remaining time together. Times are bad, but players like these two have the ability to turn things around, if things can just fall our way.
