Former NBA star rips Karl-Anthony Towns in rant

It's been an interesting offseason for Minnesota Timberwolves big man Karl-Anthony Towns. Following a season in which the Timberwolves were back in the playoffs but fell in the opening round to the eventual champion Denver Nuggets, Towns has made more headlines than we're used to seeing from him during the offseason.

It began with Towns stating that when he's done playing the game and retires, there are going to be people who say "I changed the game" on the "Pat Bev Podcast." a comment which drew a wide array of reactions from players, analysts, fans and virtually anyone who watches the NBA. Then just for good measure, Towns most recently said that the Timberwolves reaching the 2022 NBA Playoffs was "more special" than the Nuggets winning this year's title while again on the "Pat Bev Podcast."

While Towns appears to have no issue making comments that fuel debate and even receive strong push back, there's been no shortage of people sounding off on the Timberwolves big man. But the most recent name to put Towns on blast was a bit out of left field, as ex-NBA star Tim Hardaway Sr. made sure to make his statement on the big man when he joined "The Carton Show."

"You need to win playoff games, Karl-Anthony Towns has zero series wins. He needs to have a reality check, and in Minnesota, they talk too much! They need to shut up, go out there, and play basketball." Hardaway stated.

He didn't stop there, as Hardaway proceeded to list his top-five centers in the NBA who are better than Towns. The top two weren't even a debate in Nikola Jokic and Joel Embiid. Hardaway then listed Bam Adebayo and rounded out his top five with two surprises in Brook Lopez and Domantas Sabonis, which drew plenty of questions from the other hosts of the show.
