Look of the Day for Tuesday, Nov. 14: SGA is A-OK

Scottie Barnes fell 1.5 points + rebounds + assists short of the over Monday night to hand us another brutal Look of the Day loss. It's time to go on a winning streak and get back to .500, so let's start with a plus-money prop on the hardwood.

Look of the Day record: 2-5 (-3.45 units)

Look of the Day: Shai Gilgeous-Alexander 40+ points and assists (+125 DraftKings)

This is an absolute smash spot for Gilgeous-Alexander. Over his last four starts, SGA is averaging 35.3 points and 5.3 assists per game. He's also averaging 22.3 field-goal attempts per game over that span, and he leads the Oklahoma City Thunder in potential assists per game (12.3) this season.

Now for the matchup. The San Antonio Spurs have been the worst defensive team in the NBA this season by multiple metrics. San Antonio ranks dead last in points allowed per game, opponent shooting percentage and opponent three-point shooting percentage. The Spurs also rank 28th in defensive efficiency and 27th in opponent assists per game.

This should be a high-scoring game considering the total is set at 237 and both teams rank seventh or better in the NBA in pace. Gilgeous-Alexander will be the main beneficiary of that game flow.

With the way SGA has been shooting the ball, he could hit this alternate total with points alone against the worst defense in the league.
