NBA Fans React To Peja Stojakovic And His Son Practicing Three-Pointers: “Peja Still Has A Great Shot"
Matthew Emmons-USA TODAY Sports

NBA fans reacted to a viral video of Peja Stojakovic shooting three-pointers with his son Andrej during their visit to the University of Oregon.

Peja Stojakovic is one of the greatest Europeans to have ever played in the NBA. Drafted with the 14th pick in the first round by the Kings in 1996, Peja would play 13 seasons in the league during which he earned 3 All-Star nods and he also won a championship in his last season in the NBA with the Mavericks in 2010-11.

He was in many ways ahead of his time as he was a shooter and scorer who would have been a great fit in the modern NBA. For his career, Stojakovic shot over 40% from beyond the arc, with the highlight being the 2003-04 season where he averaged 24.2 points per game on 43.3% shooting from three to finish 4th in the MVP voting.

NBA Fans React To Peja Stojakovic And His Son Practicing Three-Pointers

His eldest son Andrej is following in his father's footsteps and he is a highly regarded prospect who has already received offers from numerous colleges. Father and son practice together all the time as Andrej hopes to one day make it to the NBA and we recently saw some footage of the two of them shooting three-pointers from their visit to the University of Oregon.

NBA fans were hyped by the video as they remembered what a great player Peja was.

"Good to see Peja still got it!"

"Sorry, but Peja still has a smoother stroke. I hope Andrej kills it in the NBA."

"Peja still has a great shot"

"He use to give my Lakers problems"

"One of my all time favorite players, wish he could have brought a ring to sac town"

"Corner marksman "

"Just like your daddy boy"

"He’ll be one of the nbas best shooters. I watched it with Steph being on the bench in Milwaukee as a kid. "

"He used to kill us vs the lakers"

"When the right time comes i hope sacramento pick this young man his father is a legendary king"

"His son form look better than his now that’s a statement"

"Stojaković finished his career as the 4th on the all time 3point made list. 2x 3 point shootout champ, 3x All Star, All NBA Second team back in 04 and of course NBA champ with the Mavs...I would rank him as the fifth greatest shooter of all time (Curry, Allen, Bird, Klay and Stojaković)"

"His son didn’t do the fly by for the fake but he can shoot"

"GOOD FORM! @andrejstojakovic_"

"UCLA bound"

"Warriors watching the kid out"

"I was getting buckets with him online with da mavs team in 2K"

Andrej sure has a sweet stroke and he definitely got the shooting genes from his father. His junior season at Jesuit high school saw the youngster average 25.3 points per game on 40% shooting from beyond the arc so it isn't surprising that he has received offers from colleges like UCLA and Duke.

It'll take a big effort to be better than his father in the NBA, though as Dirk Nowitzki once shared a story of how Peja beat him in a best-of-100 three-point shooting contest by making 95 or 96 of them. He was truly one of the best shooters the game has seen.
