Suns All-Star PG Chris Paul assessed Flagrant Foul 1 for Game 5 incident with Jose Alvarado

When his playing career comes to a close, Chris Paul may go down as the best point guard in NBA history. About to turn 37 years old and playing in his 17th season , "CP3" is still producing at an elite level and is looking to get the Phoenix Suns to the Finals for the second straight year for the first time in franchise history and ultimately get the organization their first title.

Despite his reputation as an advocate for women's basketball, as well as his eight-year run as the NBA Player's Association (NBAPA) president, Paul has at times, also been called out for alleged dirty plays on the court. On Thursday, the league made an announcement regarding a recent play involving "The Point God" that raised some eyebrows.

Paul made his third consecutive All-Star team this season (and 12th overall) and finished the year by averaging a double-double of 14.7 points and an NBA-best 10.8 assists per game. Through the first five games of the Suns' Western Conference first-round playoff series against the New Orleans Pelicans, the future Hall of Famer has averaged 20.2 points, 12.0 assists and just 1.2 turnovers per contest.
