Toronto Lands 19th Pick In 2024 NBA Draft Following Tiebreaker Results
Jim Rassol-USA TODAY Sports

The Toronto Raptors can’t catch a break.

The Raptors came up with the short end of the stick following the 2024 NBA Draft tiebreaker results.

Toronto now knows that it will have the 19th pick in this year’s NBA Draft via the Indiana Pacers. A tiebreaker draw determined the post-lottery order for teams that finished with the same record in the regular season:

The Pacers finished with the same record as the Philadelphia 76ers, Los Angeles Lakers and Orlando Magic at 47-35 in the regular season.

Unfortunately for the Raptors, the Pacers lost the lottery, which dropped them down to the 19th spot in the NBA Draft.

Indiana could’ve gone as high as the 16th pick after the tiebreaker, which would’ve benefited the Raptors.

The Raptors received the Pacers 2024 first-round pick in the blockbuster deal that sent Pascal Siakam to Indiana.

It’s now confirmed that the Raptors will have the No. 19 and No. 31 picks in this upcoming draft.

What remains to be seen is if the Raptors will keep their own top-six pick. The Raptors currently have a 45.8 percent chance of keeping their pick. They have 9 percent chance at the first-overall pick. The NBA Draft lottery will take place on May 12.

The 2024 NBA Draft is on June 26 and June 27. This will be the first year where the NBA Draft is a two-day event.
