Analyst believes there is 'only one place' for Derrick Henry to sign

Running back Derrick Henry will be viewed as one of the top free agents by most of the NFL, but former QB and ESPN analyst Robert Griffin III believes there is only one team he should have his eyes on.

"Derrick Henry plays with physicality, is relentless in his preparation and has a clear passion to get over the hump to play for a championship," Griffin III posted on platform X. "There is only one place for him to go. Derrick Henry should be a Baltimore Raven because he already Plays like a Raven."

Henry has been the definition of consistent, posting at least 1,000 rushing yards and 12 rushing touchdowns in five of the last six seasons. And in his one "down year," he still rushed for 937 yards and 10 touchdowns in just eight games.

The two-time rushing yards and rushing touchdowns leader is now 30, which is probably one of the main reasons the Titans could let him walk in free agency in less than a month. But Baltimore should feel otherwise.

QB Lamar Jackson was the team's leading rusher (821) once again while running backs Gus Edwards and J.K. Dobbins are both set to hit the open market.

The Ravens could still decide to bring back one of them, but ESPN's Jeremy Fowler thinks they could be looking for higher upside at the position this offseason.

"Some personnel people inside the league believe the Ravens will target a running back with pedigree in free agency," Fowler said.

Henry would certainly bring a higher pedigree to Baltimore's running back room. And for a team with just $13.65M in cap space, per Pro Football Focus, it may not take a big investment to land him either.

According to Spotrac, Henry is expected to receive a one-year, $10.3 million contract.

If there are several teams interested in the four-time Pro Bowler, that number could rise. But putting Henry alongside Jackson would make the Ravens offense even more dominant in 2024.
