Bills Day 2 NFL mock draft: Brandon Beane looks like a mastermind
Trevor Ruszkowski-USA TODAY Sports

The Buffalo Bills kicked off the NFL Draft with the shocking decision to help out the AFC rival (if that's the correct word for a team that's consistently beaten you in the playoffs) Kansas City Chiefs and there are still so many pressing needs to address.

After a free agency where many players were lost, Friday could be the day where the Bills make up for it by grabbing a starter in the second round With two fourths, three fifths and no third rounder, they could also be getting ready to trade back into the third round.

For now, they're on the clock and we now look on to Day 2 and what better way to do it with a second and third round mock draft using PFF's simulator!

Round 2, Pick 33rd overall: WR Adonai Mitchell, Texas

This is the guy many had the Bills trading up for or targeting at 28th overall. They get him at 33rd but while adding additional draft picks through their couple of first-round trades. This would be mastermind behavior from Brandon Beane considering many expected them to take Mitchell almost 10 picks ago.

A to Z Sports' Rob Gregson: "Mitchell is one of the more complete WRs in this class when analyzing both his physical traits on tape and measurables. There is little he can’t do on the field, but he needs to continue working on his hands, and playing every snap with the same intensity regardless of situation or opponent."

Round 2, Pick 60th: ED Chris Braswell, Alabama

The Bills need some fresh blood on the defensive line and Braswell in the second round makes a lot of sense. He was once a Bruce Feldman "freak" thanks to his explosiveness, which shows on film even though he's undersized.

Round 3, Pick 95th: OC Sedrick Van Pran, Georgia

Sure, the Bills might be planning to play Connor McGovern to center but Van Pran could give him a run for his money, at least down the road. In the third, this addition has value.
