Bills' path to the playoffs just got a lot easier thanks to the Bengals
Denny Medley-USA TODAY Sports

The Buffalo Bills have had some ups this season, but they have also had their fair share of downs.

However, they have received some very good news prior to their Saturday night matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers. And they can thank the Cincinnati Bengals for this.

Since the Bengals lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Bills are now in complete control of their future this season. Sitting in eighth place in the playoff standings right now, Buffalo needs to come away with three wins in their final three games to make it to the postseason.

And they received some high praise from former quarterback and coach Jason Garrett prior to the game.

"I think the Bills can win out," Garrett said on Peacock's pregame show.

After suffering some tough losses this season, the Bills playoff chances continued to dwindle. But they have stepped it up in recent weeks, coming up with major wins over the Kansas City Chiefs and Dallas Cowboys.

Because of that, they are now a team that many fear heading into the end of the regular season. And with those wins, they now sit with an 8-6 record heading into Week 16.

If the Bills play the style of football they are known for, Saturday night's game against the Chargers can get them one step closer.

Bills mafia is certainly hoping for some extra football to watch in January (and maybe even February), so let's see if Buffalo can deliver.
