Cardinals to wait until after Super Bowl to announce head coach
Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

The Arizona Cardinals will wait until the conclusion of Super Bowl LVII to announce their new head coach, via NFL insider Adam Schefter.

Whether this is because they want to interview coaches participating in the game, or because they want to wait until the festivities in Arizona conclude is still up in the air.

The Cardinals are in company with the Indianapolis Colts as the only two teams to still be without a head coach.

If nothing changes, Arizona will be deciding between Mike Kafka and Lou Anarumo. Both coaches have second interviews scheduled for this week.

The decision seems to be whether the Cardinals want to bring on an offensive-minded coach, which would be Kafka, or a defensive-minded coach in Anarumo.

Expect an announcement to be made on Tuesday, the 14th, three days after Super Bowl LVII.
