Former NFL superstar makes wild comment about Andy Reid, Bill Belichick

The biggest difference in the opinion of Vick has been Reid’s ability to succeed despite changing teams and schemes. He has found success everywhere he has been regardless of who has been under center. In Vick’s opinion, that is where he separates himself from Belichick. 

“You know, I understand Belichick and Brady and that whole dynamic. But coach [Reid] did it in Philly, and then he’s doing it in K.C.,” Vick said.

It is hard to argue against that, as Belichick has a losing record as a head coach without Tom Brady as his starting quarterback. Between his time in New England and with the Cleveland Browns, Belichick has a record of 79-88. Even if you do not count his tenure with the Browns, Belichick is 43-44 with the Patriots sans Brady.

Reid compiled a record of 130-93 with the Eagles and has been even better with the Chiefs, going 117-45, for a career-winning percentage of .641. He has a playoff record of 22-16 in his career, now owning two Super Bowl rings and three conference championships.

Vick may be a little biased in his opinion, as he showered Reid with admiration. “I love that man to death; like for real, literally, I’d do anything for you,” Vick said, as Reid helped him through difficult times in his life. The Eagles provided him with a second chance in his career, which he took full advantage of.

This is a debate that will rage on for a while, but any gap that does exist between the two is being closed on a yearly basis Andy Reid finding his Brady in Patrick Mahomes, who is the best quarterback currently in the NFL.
