Former Texans DT Vince Wilfork calls it how he sees it with C.J. Stroud
David Butler II-USA TODAY Sports

The Houston Texans didn't listen to all of the outside noise that was being said about quarterback C.J. Stroud. When he did badly on the test, everyone was going on and on about it; the Texans didn't think it was that big of a deal.

And look now, they have the best player in the entire 2023 class. And, as crazy as it may seem, he may already be a top-10 quarterback in the NFL, especially after you see some of the things he has done in the last two games. Stroud is that guy, even as a rookie.

The best part, too, is that everyone knows it, especially one former Texans player who is a potential Hall of Famer.

Vince Wilfork, who played two seasons with the Houston Texans, won two Super Bowls with the New England Patriots with Tom Brady as the quarterback, was a four-time All-Pro and a five-time Pro Bowler, thinks Stroud is the real deal.

This cj stroud will be a problem his whole career!!! The next great QB! wouldn't be surprised houston goes deep into playoff

Wilfork played 13 years in the NFL, sacked some pretty good quarterbacks in his time, and certainly played against some good ones. He knows what he is talking about, and I mean, it's not hard to see that Stroud isn't the next-best quarterback in the league.

I bet Stroud would love to hear that from a former Houston player, too. I mean, the dude has already made NFL history several times and is on his way to the Divisional Round.
