The first 10 games of Deshaun Watson's tenure with the Cleveland Browns haven't exactly gone to plan.

After serving an 11-game suspension in 2022, the former Texans' QB returned for the team’s final six games with mixed results. The start of the 2023 season was supposed to be a fresh start for Watson, but a shoulder injury suffered in Week 3 has rendered him unavailable and ineffective in three straight games.

The hot and cold start to his Browns tenure have left him open to plenty of criticism and on Tuesday, former Browns quarterback Brady Quinn joined the critics.

Speaking on his show Two Pros and a Cup of Joe, which features Quinn alongside former NFL LaVar Arrington and radio host Jonas Knox, Brady questioned Watson's "want to" play football after signing a $230 million, fully guaranteed contract. The Notre Dame product also went as far as calling Watson a "trust fund baby."

Enter Watson's quarterback coach Quincy Avery, who has long been the Clemson product's closest confidant and host of the QB Unplugged Podcast, which features Watson. After catching wind of the clip, Avery reshared it with a vulgar and targeted response for Quinn, comparing the 38-year-old to a high school teenager who was spreading gossip.

Quinn quickly tried to douse water on the situation by inviting Avery to come on the show to talk things out, but Avery wasn't having it and quickly fired back again.

The social media spat went back-and-forth a few more times, until Quinn made reference to Watson's off the field allegations. Avery's response to that put a conclusion to things...for now. The QB trainer vowed to pick things up next time he and Quinn cross paths.
