Proof The Buccaneers Have The Best WR Tandem In The NFL
Lon Horwedel-USA TODAY Sports

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have the most dominant wide receiver duo in the league. The duo of Mike Evans and Chris Godwin put the Pewter Pirates wide receiving corp at the top of the list of team’s returning receiver yardage list.

With Mike Evans bringing 11,680 yards to the table and Chris Godwin adding his 6,690 yards it’s easy to see why the Bucs are at the top of this list. Just using Evans’ and Godwin’s numbers alone would place the Buccaneers at third-highest in the league. A truly impressive stat that proves the duo of Evans and Godwin is by far the league’s best tandem.

Evans was the 7th overall pick in the 2014 NFL draft by the Bucs. The 6’5 receiver out of Texas A&M made the All-Rookie Team in 2014 and tied for the most receiving touchdowns in 2023. In-between those two accomplishments Evans posted five Pro Bowls, two Second-Team All-Pro and of course has at least 1,000 receiving yards in every one of his seasons played.

Mike Evans’ Career Stats

Receptions: 762
Receiving yards: 11,680
Receiving touchdowns: 94

Godwin was a third-round pick in the 2017 draft by the Buccaneers. He boasts one Second-Team All-Pro nod as well as one Pro Bowl on his resume. He, like Evans has been a model of consistency averaging just north of 950 yards per season.

Chris Godwin’s Career Stats
