Report: Saints Pro Bowl OL Andrus Peat 'feared' to have suffered torn pec

The New Orleans Saints eked out a 13-10 road win over the Seattle Seahawks on "Monday Night Football" in Week 7, but they may have lost a crucial part of their offensive line in the process.

Peat is coming off of three straight Pro Bowl seasons and played in 100% of the team's offensive snaps in their first four games this season. The 27-year-old was in on 50 offensive snaps (89%) in Week 5 against the Washington Football Team.

With Peat possibly out for the remainder of the season, other members of the Saints' offensive line like Terron Armstead, Erik McCoy, Cesar Ruiz and Ryan Ramczyk will be called upon to protect quarterback Jameis Winston and provide open lanes for star running back Alvin Kamara. Thus far, Winston has been dropped for 11 sacks in the team's first six contests, losing 69 yards over the half-dozen times going to the ground.

New Orleans ranks in the middle of the pack as far as rushing yards with 723 and rushing yards per game at 120.5, which place them 17th and 11th in the league respectively. The Saints will be up against one of the best run-stopping units in the NFL in Week 8, as they host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at 4:25 p.m. ET on Sunday.
