The rivalry between the Cincinnati Bengals and Kansas City Chiefs populates airwaves and articles such as this one, but it all starts on the field between the players.

Consider Ja'Marr Chase and L'Jarius Sneed soldiers on the front lines.

As wideout and cornerback, respectively, the two have gone up against each other so many times in the five matchups between both teams since the 2021 season. More than a few words have been exchanged along the way.

During an appearance on the Up And Adams Show with Kay Adams, Sneed announced his belief that the three-time Pro Bowl wideout doesn't like him the most out of any receiver he's gone up against.

"I think Ja'Marr Chase," Sneed told Adams. "He don't like the Chiefs, period. Me and him get very chippy. He got a mouth on him. He got a mouth on him."

He's got a strong argument there. Chase has done more than enough to make his distaste for the Chiefs known. Before this year's playoffs even began, his prediction for who'd win Super Bowl LVIII was, "Anybody but the Chiefs."

Unfortunately, he couldn't have been more incorrect, but Chase would probably agree with Sneed here.

Talking trash is not just a part of Chase's game, it's what he loves to do. For Sneed to give his name as his answer is a feather in his cap, and validation for his contribution towards this matchup becoming as heated as it now is.

Chase's latest bout with Sneed came on this past New Year's Eve, which surely ran through Sneed's mind when being asked Adams' question. He declined to relay some of the things Chase has said in their past meetings.

"I can't say that on camera," Sneed said followed by a chuckle.

It's an intoxicating conflict inside the team-wide rivalry that appears to still be the strongest in the AFC. No team aside from the Bengals has denied the Chiefs a trip to the Super Bowl since 2019.

Sneed is a pending free agent this offseason, though Kansas City will surely like to have him back for more battles against Chase.
