First-year Los Angeles Chargers edge rusher Tuli Tuipulotu submitted an NFL rookie season to remember, amidst a 5-12 Bolts season most fans would like to forget.

The Bolts selected the 6'3", 266-pound 21-year-old with the No. 54 pick in the third round of last year's draft.

While playing all 17 of LA's games this year, he notched 53 total tackles (37 solo), 4.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, one recovered fumble, one pass deflected, and seven stuffs.

He's already made a lasting impression on his veteran colleagues, per Jeff Miller of The Los Angeles Times.

“You knew he was going to be good,” right tackle Trey Pipkins III said. “You just figured it would take a year or two. When he started doing things in the regular season, it was, ‘Well, I guess he didn’t need a year or two.’"

Tuipulotu reflected on how he's able to channel his best self when he plays for Los Angeles.

“I think it’s just different on the field,” Tuipulotu said. “I feel like I can use more of all my body. In the weight room, it’s all legs or all arms.”
