Steelers' latest move opens the door for Hines Ward to return to Pittsburgh
Philip G. Pavely-USA TODAY Sports

When teams bring in outside hires, there is often a domino effect that happens within the coaching staff.

And with the Pittsburgh Steelers preparing for their first season under new OC Arthur Smith, some departures were sure to happen.

WR Coach Frisman Jackson is a part of those departures per Gerry Dulac of the Pittsburgh Post Gazette, opening the door to a potential reunion:

Hines Ward Back in Black?

Ward is an obvious connection given his 14-year NFL career, all of which was spent in Pittsburgh, where he racked up 1000 receptions, over 12,000 yards, and 85 TDs to go along with four Pro Bowls, Two Super Bowl rings, a Super Bowl MVP and Hall of Fame semifinalist nomination.

Not only is he decorated as a player, but he's made his bones in the coaching cycle, having multiple experiences at the division one level in college and as a head coach in the pros during his tenure with the XFL as coach of the San Antonio Brahmas

The only thing left to sort out is whether or not Arthur Smith will want to work with Ward. If he's ok with it, Ward could be black in Steelers colors in just a few days.
