Watch: Jalen Hurts, Olamide Zaccheaus connect for improbable TD pass

Facing a third-and-15 down by three points early in the fourth quarter, Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts did what he does best – make something out of nothing.

As he dropped back, Hurts was forced to roll out to his left. With all of his receivers blanketed by the Buffalo Bills secondary, the star signal-caller directed wideout Olamide Zaccheaus where he wanted him to go.

After biding his time for a few seconds, Hurts uncorked a pass to the back of the end zone where it dropped perfectly to Zaccheaus for a 29-yard, go-ahead touchdown that put Philly up 28-24.

Per NextGen Stats, it was the most improbable touchdown completion of Hurts’ career and had a completion probability of just 14.6%. Philly’s offensive line gave Hurts 7.24 seconds to throw.

It was only the seventh reception – and second touchdown – of the season for Zaccheaus, who’s logged more than one catch in a game just once this season. It was also his longest reception since hauling in a 34-yarder in a Week 3 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The play gave Hurts his fourth touchdown of the game and his third through the air. It’s just the second time this season that Hurts has thrown three or more touchdowns in a game.
