Game Highlights 52.0: Edmonton Oilers beat Arizona Coyotes 6-3
? Joe Camporeale-USA TODAY Sports

The Edmonton Oilers have won back-to-back games for the first time since before the All-Star break.

On Monday afternoon, they beat the Arizona Coyotes by a score of 6-3, highlighted by a three-goal rally in the third period that came in just over two minutes. Below are the highlights from the game.

GAME HIGHLIGHTS

Former Oilers Nick Bjugstad took a penalty for high sticking right at the start of the first period and Leon Draisaitl opened the scoring with his 27th goal of the season.

Bjugstad made up for that penalty immediately after with a goal of his own to tie the score at 1-1.

Another couple of minutes later, Mattias Janmark put the Oilers back out in front with his second goal of the season and first since late November.

The Oilers carried a 2-1 lead into the second frame but took their foot off the gas and let the Coyotes make things interesting. While Janmark was in the penalty box for hooking, Clayton Keller made the score 2-2.

Later in the second, Bjugstad scored again to give the Coyotes their first lead of the game. The snipe over Stuart Skinner’s blocker side was the former Oiler’s 12th on the year.

The Oilers completely flipped the game on its head early in the third period with three goals in just over two minutes. The first was a snipe from Evander Kane during a delayed penalty call.

On the next shift, Zach Hyman parked himself in front of the net and deflected a shot from the point past goaltender Matt Villalta.

The Oilers extended their lead to 5-3 shortly after when Kane deflected a shot from Ryan McLeod past Villalta to finish off a dominant shift in Arizona’s zone.

Warren Foegele sealed the win for the Oilers in the dying minutes of the third period with an empty-net goal after Arizona had pulled their goaltender.
